Control of food safety in Russia: problems and solutions

In his message to the Federal Assembly back in 2018, the President of the Russian Federation noted that with the powerful foreign economic and defense potential of our country, the most important task of ensuring the quality of life and well-being of people still remains unattainable. He recognized the need to make a decisive breakthrough in saving the people, noting that efforts only in the field of medicine are not enough for this. Five years have passed, but the tasks set out in the address still remain relevant and require improved management of the consumer market based on market principles and state regulation.

Counterfeiting on meat products: detection methods and types of control

When falsifying meat products, meat is partially replaced with less nutritionally valuable components — offal, milk powder or plant components such as starch, flour, cereals, vegetables and soybeans, which greatly reduces the cost of the final product, but certainly affects the quality. In this regard, control and identification of meat and meat products become one of the key tools to ensure safety and protect the interests of consumers.

Keywords: meat, meat products, feed, adulteration, control, safety, polymerase chain reaction, PCR analysis, labeling

Instrumental methods for monitoring dairy products

Laboratories at dairy industry enterprises monitor the quality and safety of raw materials and manufactured products in accordance with the industry register of measurement methods. The development of laboratory instrumentation contributes to the emergence of methods based on new measurement principles, on the determination of indicators that make it possible to detect various types of contaminants in milk, and makes it possible to improve existing methods. Express methods for assessing routine indicators are being created, arbitration methods are being automated, which help to deeply study the composition of milk and dairy products with greater accuracy and reproducibility of measurement results and minimal labor costs.

Strategy 2030 and the problem of deep processing of raw materials

The strategy of improving the quality of food products in the Russian Federation until 2030 covers a huge array of interrelated problems of production, quality control, technology development and innovative products, etc. Currently, its implementation is halfway through. A number of studies have already been published on the implementation and analysis of many aspects of the Strategy, but the problem of deep processing of raw materials, despite the huge opportunities, has not received proper coverage.

Model for improving the quality of the machining technological process using the IDEF notations with FMEA. Part 2

The reengineering of machine-building production in the Russian Federation in accordance with the innovative development model is characterized by the development of accumulated knowledge, the creation of technological platforms, the digitalization of production and management, which are important conditions for the growth of the effectiveness of machine-building enterprises. The emergence of new digital technologies requires improvement of approaches and methods for organizing production in mechanical engineering. In the second part of the article, the authors present the results of an analysis of the decomposition of the stages of key technological processes in mechanical engineering production. In addition, the subsequent adjustment of stages is presented, implemented through the use of the FMEA method, taking into account the integration of integrated CAD/CAM systems and automated monitoring systems as the main mechanisms in the updated process model, presented in the form of IDEF group notations.

Keywords: quality assurance, technological process, process approach, metalworking, quality management system, IDEF (Integrated DEFinition) group of notations, digitalization, modeling, analysis of failure modes and consequences (FМЕА)

Practical significance and economic feasibility of developing scientific products

The authors of the article, who developedmore than 600 types of enterprise-based reference materials of the mass fraction of total mercury in food production have managed very successfully to practically implement the results of their scientific work by developing on their basis five universal types of state-based reference materials for five groups of homogeneous food products independent of the matrix of individual types of food products within their groups. Now, outlining the algorithm of this process using their own example, they share their experience with those who would like to independently transform their developments into a sought-after product.

Presenting the results of measuring trace values of concentrations of indicators of water’s composition and properties

The authors propose an option for presenting the results of water analysis that turned out to be less than the lower limit of the measurement range of certified methods used in laboratories - at the level of the obtained trace values, in cases where instead of (<Сmin) it is required to indicate a specific value. The possibility of using such a characteristic of the measurement technique as the “detection limit” is considered.

Keywords: trace amounts of water components, water analysis, method of analysis, result presentation.

Assessing the quality of an LED driver by predicting current consumption

In the rapidly evolving field of LED lighting technology, accurate assessment of driver performance is critical to maintaining product quality. The relevance of this research is due to the growing need to ensure the specified performance of LED drivers through systematic monitoring and testing. The main goal of the article was to develop a model for predicting the current value of current consumption by an LED driver based on a measured set of parameters.

Approaches to developing an automated enterprise instrumentation system

The shortage of tools resulting from external restrictions on the Russian economy may negatively affect the production quality. A system is proposed to provide tools for the technological process under conditions of restrictions and increased load on production, which is able to control the movement of tools and equipment. A system of identification and classification of tools and containers is proposed, which allows to reduce the process of tool support of production. Approaches to the coupling of computer-aided design systems, enterprise resource planning and tool support are proposed.

Keywords: quality of machine-building products, tool support, production organization, planning, technical preparation of production
