Quality control of brass semi-finished products in the production of ball valves

A huge role in import substitution plans is played by valve manufacturing, and specifically the production of brass pipeline fittings, since the share of such domestically produced products on the Russian market is currently less than 50%, and for some items is none. The article discusses the problems and features of quality control in the production process of ball valve semi-bodies at full-cycle enterprises and in cooperative work, and also substantiates the need to comply with temperature conditions in continuous casting and hot stamping operations.

KEYWORDS: import substitution, brass ball valve half-body, casting, raw materials, quality control, full-cycle production, cooperative work

Assessment and control of food products’ environmental purity

The safety assessment of the test object is carried out in order to establish the requirements for compliance with which control is carried out in the testing laboratory, followed by the legalization of its results in the conformity assessment body. Using criteria and algorithms created over more than three decades of work in the field of metrological support for the assessing and controlling the quality and safety of food products and environmental facilities, the authors propose a new approach to assessing the ecological purity of food products.

KEYWORDS: food products, organic and inorganic products, aquaculture facilities, safety, environmental cleanliness, degree, assessment, control

Applying SPC methods for quality analysis of reference materials

The article shows that the application of statistical process control methods, especially using Schuhart control maps, in the analysis of the measurement results of the uniformity of reference materials allows us to establish the stability of determining the mass fractions of impurity elements and the acceptability of the measurement system.

KEYWORDS: statistical control, Schuhart control map, span map, process progress map, mean map, uniformity, analytical control

Microbiological studies to assess the quality and safety of medical devices

The need to develop microbiological research to ensure the effectiveness, quality and safety of medical devices on the market has been justified in previous publications. The new article reflects the process of improving the assessment of the main indicators of microbiological tests, including sterility, bio-loading, barrier properties in relation to microorganisms, using the example of a specific laboratory.

KEYWORDS: quality and safety indicators of medical products, sterility of medical products, barrier properties of medical products, clinical and laboratory studies

Methodological approach to assessing the indicator “percentage of products delivered from its first presentation to the technical control department”. Part 1

In the first part of the article, an analytical review of the theoretical use in the practice of personnel quality management of the indicator “percentage of products delivered from its first presentation to the technical control department” is carried out. The relevance of revising the approach to evaluating this indicator in order to increase the reliability of assessments and the motivation of decisions on quality management of defense products is justified and proven in practice. The sample mean was estimated using Student’s t-distribution statistics.

KEYWORDS: technological systems (TS), defense products (DP), percentage of delivery of products from the first presentation, Student’s criterion, quality management, Pareto method, technical control department

Quality lost in the labyrinths of legal requirements for QMS

The complex present and uncertain future of voluntary QMS certification systems in the military-industrial complex became the topic of this article. It talks about the need for a major restructuring of the QMS of domestic enterprises and maximum use of international experience, as well as the accreditation of national certification bodies in this area.

KEYWORDS: production of the military-industrial complex, weapons, military equipment and hardware, quality, quality management system (QMS), certification, voluntary certification system, accreditation

Monitoring and evaluation of risk management activities in an environmental testing laboratory

The article is devoted to the assessment of actions with risks arising in the work of an environmental testing laboratory. A methodology for assessing risk management actions is proposed, which allows for a timely determination of their suitability. As testing has shown, the technique is simple and easy to use without special training.

KEYWORDS: risks, environmental laboratory, measurement result, assessment, risk management actions

Metrological analysis and certification of technological processes. Part 2. Sources of risks and errors of the material balance method.

This article continues the topic of practical application of the theoretical foundations of metrolo-gy, explored in a series of articles by our permanent author last year. It examines the metrological features of food production processes and the importance they have in shaping the quality of products. Metrological requirements for technological processes and equipment, purpose, essence and methodology of analysis and certification of food production processes are described.

KEYWORDS: metrology, analysis, certification, technological process, food industry, material balance, errors
