Features of conformity assessment in current conditions

Abstract. The article considers the goals, features and procedure for assessing the conformity of goods in current conditions. The author names the main regulations governing the processes for confirming the product safety, and lists the stages of certification procedures. The topics of assessing fire safety and getting state registration certificate for products are discussed separately.

Assessing QMS effectiveness in testing centers and laboratories

Abstract. The authors present the own view on the development of methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of quality management systems in testing centers (laboratories), and invite all the interested parties (fellow scientists and practitioners) to a discussion. The theoretical and practical aspects of complex effects and costs of maintaining a high level of organizational management process quality are considered. The theoretical achievements of scientists in this area are analyzed. Groups of indicators that can be used to develop a comprehensive methodology are proposed.

The practice of organizing product traceability in CAQ system

Abstract. In most companies, the organization of product traceability falls under responsibility of the quality departments, from materials’ input control to post-warranty product service. However, most enterprises are independently aware of the importance of this process and try to consider traceability when digitalizing their production. The up-to-date сomputer-aided quality (CAQ) assurance system includes functional components that implement traceability mechanisms, which will be discussed in the article.

Wine quality management by choosing a method of wine bottle capping

Abstract. The article describes the types of wine closures differing in materials, cost, air permeability, etc. All these characteristics impact wine quality. The authors explain which types of corks or caps are suitable, for example, for inexpensive short-term storage wines, and which ones are used for high-price wines.

Non-compliance of current regulatory framework for assessing chemical safety of composite wood materials with requirements of legal metrology. Part 3

Abstract. The final part of the article considers preparation of regulatory documents on the rules and methods of research (testing) and measurements that ensure compliance with the requirements of the TR CU “On the safety of furniture products”. The practical steps are specified to change current situation regarding the determination of sanitary and chemical characteristics of composite wood materials and furniture by gas chromatography and vapor phase analysis.
