Mark I. Rozno is one of the famous Russian specialists at the theory and practice of reliability, application of engineering methods of project management and quality management. Project quality management: conceptual approaches and practical methods

This article provides an overview of the most common PCD approaches in design practice. Of course, the whole ideology is built around TQM recommendations and ISO standards. Taking into account the project specifics, this methodology is replicated in the main international and national standards for project management. This material is very voluminous and depends on the specific approach, therefore, the project manager, starting to develop the project, must imagine how quickly he can update the method of work, based on the preferences of the customer and the participating organizations.

Employment contract of the chief engineer of the project with the project organization. Part 1. Changes in the regulation of relations between the parties

The article discusses the settlement of labor relations of the project organization — the employer with employees who carry out labor functions to organize and coordinate the work on the preparation of project and work documentation in the post of GIP, GAP. According to the authors, one of the key factors in the quality of GIP’s performance of its work function is the employment contract concluded by the parties, in which the employer, among other things, undertakes to create all necessary and sufficient conditions for the successful performance of the GIP of his official duties.

Taguchi methods: the technology for quality. Part 2. Robust design

The second part of the article is devoted to Professor Taguchi’s teaching about robust design. It is based on his own original approach to experiment planning, which is called Taguchi experiment planning. Thanks to it, it is often possible to significantly reduce the variability of the managed system. And as Dr. Deming said, the essence of management is to continuously reduce variability. This is why Taguchi’s «quality Technology » is widely used all over the world.

The article deals with the problems of perception by specialists of preliminary analysis of an object within the FMEA. The stage of structural analysis of the process within the PFMEA method based on the new AIAG&MSA FMEA Handbook is described in detail. In the process of describing this stage, the differences in the approaches to structural analysis of the process in the new Handbook compared to the previous ones are indicated

The publication is a continuation of the discussion on the article «Defining quality in international standards: going back to basics», published in journal «Methods of quality management» № 8 for 2020. The author’s thoughts on the terminology of standards for management systems and the problems of defining the main terms in the field of quality management, which currently do not allow Russian developers of management systems to fully understand the meaning of the basic terms.

Heritage of doctor deming: practical advices for managers of the xxi century

On October 14, the World of Quality celebrates the 120th anniversary of the birth of one of its great prophets, William Edwards Deming. His life covers almost the entire XX century (1900-1993). He not only understood and substantiated the special role of Quality, but also created a modern theory of management of the XXI century. And understanding his legacy is still an urgent task for scientists and practitioners. The journal "Standards and Quality" examines the system of deep knowledge of Deming and its role in the modern changing world. The authors hope that the readers of the MMK will be interested in the advice and recommendations of the guru, which are directly related to the practical application of his philosophy.
