The author of this article comments the thematic report by McKinsey Agency «Innovation in Russia» from the position of Konosuke Matsushita principles. The main conclusion of the author is: the prevailing world practice of innovation activities and innovation management is largely flawed, since it is focused on increasing technological and economic efficiency, ignoring the purposes and interests of the people majority.
Keywords: innovation, divergence, integrity, improvement, Matsushita principles.

The term risk-based thinking (RBT) is quite relevant for health and safety management systems but make people puzzled in QMS as ISO did not bother to give its operational definition. No reason was offered to replace «risk-based approach» with RBT as well. One can identify many risks related to QMS in an organization. The correct choice for targeting the RBT depends on two factors — firstly, the top management values, and, secondly, which stakeholders are of the highest priority for the organization. Focusing on shirt-term profit related risks may lead to neglecting non-VIP customers, while transforming RBT to «conscience-based thinking» can be considered as more appropriate for the spirit of QMS.

The proposed article completes a series of publications devoted to the provisions of clause 8.5.2 of ISO 9001:2015 international standard in terms of ensuring the traceability of results in cases where this is an established requirement. It discusses the methodology for ensuring traceability, based on the consistent implementation of the system approach, as well as the algorithm for analyzing traceability during the QMS audit. The author illustrates his conclusions and recommendations with detailed comments of typical examples from auditing practice.

Is it possible to manage the dependability of a technical product? The answer seems to be obvious. There is a series of standards that regulate the main provisions of the dependability management system, maintenance and its support, reliability centred maintenance and analysis techniques for reliability. However, it is impossible to agree with the possibility of dependability management based on what is prescribed in these standards. It is impossible to manage something if there is no possibility of obtaining a clear numerically expressed response to managing actions. In fact, the dependability of a technical product can be quantified only for the past period of its use. The resulting final dependability evaluation can be useful as an indicative for other similar products when using them in similar conditions. At the same time, the concept of reliability management in the process of using a separate technical product seems untenable.

Increasing the production capacity is an actual task for many industrial enterprises. As a rule, its successful solution provides a rise in productivity and, as a result, a significant economic effect. That is why the project by the Copper Plant of the Polar Division of MMC Norilsk Nickel PJSC received high recognition from experts of the «Transformation» competition in the «Kaizen Project» nomination. This project is presented by Alexander Falelyukhin, the one of its initiators.

Development and implementation the projects for manufacturing optimization help to increase the efficiency of business processes and thereby improve the overall economic performance of the enterprise. This article describes the algorithm for implementing the project for improvements, as well as the tools and principles of Lean production applied at each of its stages, which are used by the Kaizen Center experts. This technique has already proved its effectiveness at Russian enterprises.

The concept of risk and its structure are analyzed, the problem of risks is formulated. The manufacturer risks, the customer risks and the possibility of balancing them are considered. It is noted that as the complexity of socio-technical systems increases, it is impossible not to take into account the "Black Swan" phenomenon, the analysis of which is given by Nassim Taleb. The Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method is briefly presented.
Keywords: probability, manufacturer risks, customer risks, FMEA.
