ORGANIZATIONAL TRANSFORMATIONS: THE LOGIC OF INSTITUTIONAL DECISIONS

Issues related to transformations occupy a special place in management practice. It is impossible to keep up with all the changes within regular activities as the context evolves at an exponential rate. This means that in each subsequent period of time there are more changes than in the previous one. Today, the requirement to evaluate context is included in almost all standard models of management systems, including quality management systems and lean manufacturing management systems. This article presents our explanation for the failure of transfor-mations, as well as an analysis of the barriers that prevent them from becoming successful..

Keywords: organizational transformations, mobilization-stabilization cycle, QMS, institutional solutions, opportunism.

MANAGEMENT INTEGRITY: A CONSCIOUS PATH FROM TASK TO CHALLENGE

The PDCA cycle is familiar to the most modern managers at all levels. However, the effectiveness of its application in different organizations varies significantly. What is the reason? This article dis-cusses the influence of three factors on management results: the manager’s ability to holistically perceive the problem, readiness to solve it, and acceptance of the challenge — understanding the need to solve the problem for the supersystem. Let us remember the words of Lao-Tzu: «An integral being knows without going, sees without looking, and accom-plishes without doing».

Keywords: full management function, objective setting, problem solving, improvement, challenge.

MANAGING PSYCHOEMOTIONAL RISKS TO INCREASE COMPANY’S WORK EFFECTIVENESS

We continue the study of psychoemotional risks, which we began in [1, 2], and consider such important issues as the sources, causes of their occurrence, measures and the role of the human factor in managing this type of risk. We are talking about burnout — a problem not only for the employee, but also for the entire production team, leading to financial losses.

Keywords: risk management, psychoemotional risks, risk management, human factor.

DOES AN ANTHILL COMPLIES WITH ISO MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS STANDARDS?

Ants have lived on Earth for millions of years. This alone speaks volumes about how advanced their civilization is compared to human civilization. Is a community of ants (an anthill) an organization? For any sane person — absolutely. These insects are social, that is, those species that can only exist and develop together and not alone. Just like people. And even the incorrect definition of an organization in ISO standards comes close to an anthill, if only you replace the word «people» with «living beings».

Keywords: activity, planning, improvement, top management, self-organization.

ISO 9001: MODERN STANDARD FOR DEVELOPING BUSINESS

This article is devoted to a controversial issue of changing the approach to standardization of manage-ment systems. The considered aspects of standardiza-tion significantly influence the state of business in the current situation and, in the author’s opinion, will receive further development in the near future. The key objective of the article is an attempt to justify the di-rection of the revision of ISO 9001 taking into account the dynamics of changes occurring in society.

Keywords: standardization of management systems, ISO 9001, context of an organization, process approach, IT-technologies in management.

ISO 9001:2025 DRAFT: AN KOOL HTPEDNI

I have before me the Committee Draft (CD) of the sixth edition of the ISO 9001 standard, prepared by the ISO/TC 176. However, if you are not satisfied with the current 2015 version of standard in some way, you will most likely not like its new version either. It preserves almost all problems, errors, inac-curacies, optional requirements, etc., which, in all likelihood, is largely due to the desire to comply with the harmonized structure of management system standards. Let’s take a closer look at the draft of standard by its clauses

Keywords: ISO 9001 revision, technical committee draft, QMS, requirements, compliance.

EFFECTIVENESS OR EFFICIENCY: WHAT IS THE SUBJECT OF ANALYSIS BY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AUDITING? PART 2. ON THE MISTAKES IN NATIONAL STANDARDS

As practical experience shows, for some users of ISO international standards for management systems, it is difficult to understand the differences between two key concepts: «effectiveness» and «efficiency». Apparently, such complexity did not arise out of nowhere. And the point is not only in the confusion of definitions of these concepts in dictionaries, as discussed in the previous publication. It is much worse that the substitution of «effectiveness» with «efficiency» takes place in most official translations of management system standards into Russian. The author analyzes these types of errors in the second and final part of the article.

Keywords: IAF documents, IAF MD 22:2023, accreditation criteria, audit of the management system.
