COMBATING CIRCULATION OF UNREGISTERED MEDICAL PRODUCTS: CURRENT SITUATION AND PROSPECTS

Abstract. The article presents a detailed analysis of the current state of medical devices market in Russia, based on data from regulatory authorities and expert assessments. Special attention is payed to new schemes for distributing counterfeit goods through digital channels, problems of interdepartmental cooperation in identifying them.

PASTA STANDARDS: NEED TO BE UPDATED

Abstract. The article presents a study of regulatory legal acts establishing requirements for pasta products and the main raw material for their production – wheat flour. Inaccuracies as well as facts of containing irrelevant information are identified. The results can be used by specialists in standardization when revising and updating versions of regulatory documents used in the field of pasta production.

CLASSIFICATION AND CODING OF CANNED FRUITS

Abstract. The article presents the classification features of canned fruits and berries. The author’s classification of canned fruits is proposed, the expediency of using the proposed classification features is substantiated. In conclusion, recommendations are formulated for updating the Russian Classification of Products by Economic Activities in the studied segment of processing industry products.

COMPREHENSIVE INPUT QUALITY CONTROL OF BARLEY AT BREWERIES

Abstract. The article discusses the input quality control system for malting barley used by “AB InBev Efes” company, which includes compliance with internal requirements, a multi-­stage flexible testing procedure and the use of a wide range of laboratory methods. Particular attention is paid to the company’s specific requirements for malting barley, which in some cases exceed standard industry regulations.

DETERMINING POLLUTANT EMISSIONS FROM COOLING TOWERS OF OIL REFINERIES

The conditions and features of applying instrumental methods of analysis, studied during the research work, are considered.

SAFETY VS. COST-EFFECTIVENESS: INTERNATIONAL PRACTICE OF FOOD CONTAMINANT CONTROL

Abstract. When the state controls food safety, two principles inevitably come into conflict: the “right to life and health” and the “freedom of economic activity”. Adherence to the first one requires taking all necessary measures to ensure safety, following the second one – minimizing the associated economic costs. This leads to differences in both the risk assessment results and in the standardization and control of pollutant content.
