The first conference on standardization in railway engineering was organized by JSC “Sinara - Transport Machines” (JSC STM) at the site of JSC “Kalugaputmash” (JSC KPM). MECHANICAL ENGINEERING FOR FUEL AND ENERGY COMPLEX: SIMPLY ABOUT THE DIFFICULT

During business program of the Industry Day organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on the sidelines of the Russia International Exhibition and Forum, topical issues of the country’s industrial development were discussed. Among others, the agenda contained advancing mechanical engineering for fuel and energy complex, including the sphere of renewable energy.

The article discusses the experience of using patents and standards to implement new technologies, develop global markets, reduce costs and increase business efficiency on example of container transportation. An overview and analysis of patent strategies used in the world standardization are provided. Recommendations are persented for further evolution of the mechanism for effective use of patents and standards to deploy innovations in industry and business, ensure the country’s technological development.

The authors describe the corporate standardization system operating at JSC “Russian Railways” since 2005, the main tasks of which are to reduce the costs of product development, production and operation, introduce innovative equipment and technologies, improve the reliability of railway transport equipment, save resources, ensure import products substitution, and use of standardization documents in product supply, execution of works, provision of services.

THE QUALITY OF AN EFFECTIVE INDICATOR’S ECONOMIC GROWTH

The article introduces a new scientific concept: the economic growth's quality of the result index. This indicator is a cumulative assessment of the impact of intensive factors of labor and capital used in the economic system on the change of the result indicator. The algorithm for calculating the proposed indicator is given.
