The article presents the results of EFQM-2020 Model application for planning, management and diagnostics of sustainable development of the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” (MPEI). The authors show the advantages of using effective and flexible approaches to organizational diagnostics of solving strategic development tasks within certain functional areas. The developed “lens” model of sustainable development management is integrated with the target model of the university’s development program.
